It's amazing the overwhelming amount of talent here in Melbourne. I've only been here a month and I've already fallen into the wonderland of entrepreneur artists of this amazing city. There are so many exhibitions, auctions and chances to feel and experience the work of these artists. A Melbourne artist who I've already fallen in love with is the delightful Sarah Mason, painter and illustrator, hailing from trendy Brunswick. Sarah also happens to be putting on her own art exhibition An Artspace in Northcote, opening this Saturday night.
The Grand Opening of the exhibit is the launch of Sarah’s creative vision for an open, ever changing space. Sarah hopes the initiative will assist emerging artists like herself to showcase their work and cradle their ambitions. The show also features works from local artists Heidi Valkenburg and Kat Phillimore. As Founder and Curator of this exciting new gallery and artist run initiative, Sarah’s vision is to create an approachable, accessible and collaborative space for young, driven and inspired creatives like herself. She hopes the exhibit powered by a strong female collective will be the launching pad for greater things to come within Melbourne’s thriving independent art scene.’ I'm so excited to see what the girls have put together.
See you there
